Authenticity and condition are major concerns for collectors when adding art to their portfolio. In this age of the internet, collectors are scouring the web for bargains. Unfortunately, all day long pieces are posted online that are essentially worthless. The untrained eye may not recognize that the sizing is off on a piece, an edition number that does not match any known edition or a signature on a piece that was issued unsigned or even posthumously. Pieces purchased from unscrupulous sources frequently have hidden condition issues, especially when dealing in prints that are 50+ years old. The ravages of time have affected these pieces, especially pieces that were framed before the standards of acid-free and archival framing were established.
It is our experience and knowledge that protect our clients from the heartbreaking experience of making a bad acquisition. We are pleased to do the hard work for you, assuring our clients that they will walk away wit a valuable addition to their assets. We want to establish an ongoing relationship with you, helping you build your collection. Nothing pleases us more.
