Years ago, Anthony Hopkins’ wife Stella, noticed the amazing “character studies” that he drew in the margins of his scripts. Having a background in fine art, she knew talent when she saw it, and encouraged Tony to express himself on canvas. He began to develop his own style naturally creating his own medium.
Anthony Hopkins’ landscape paintings and drawings are recreations of memories of many road trips taken across the United States, while others are recollections of his childhood in Wales. He calls these images “Dreamscapes”. Always vivid in color, and with free spirited strokes, each piece is uniquely alive! Additionally, the descriptions he provides about each piece are as moving as the art itself.
With total abandon, and creativity unburdened by the need to be accepted, Anthony Hopkins paints whatever comes to his mind. Few artists can create with such freedom and with seemingly endless amounts of creative genius.
Besides being an Artist, Anthony Hopkins is an Academy Award winning Actor, a Composer, a Musician, and a Writer.
